MCX Critical Communication

Broadband Critical Mobile Communication

We provide communication support for Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR), specifically for police, firefighters, emergency medical services, and critical infrastructure operators.

From Routine Events to Major Incidents

Mission Critical Services (MCX) are broadband critical communication applications built on 4G and 5G infrastructure. While traditional narrowband Land Mobile Radio (LMR) technologies, such as TETRA, DMR, P25, or TETRAPOL systems, meet requirements for push-to-talk (PTT) voice calls, they are unable to meet the rapidly evolving needs of critical communication infrastructure. These include requirements for interoperability across different communication networks, support for multimedia communication, and other emerging communication needs.

5G networks are expected to replace Land Mobile Radio systems (LMR, PMR) in the future. However, both worlds will continue to coexist, and applications will benefit from the ability to utilize all available networks. A hybrid radiocommunication network will connect narrowband Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) networks, using DMR or TETRA technologies, with broadband 4G LTE, 5G systems, and local wireless Wi-Fi networks.
